Hello, I am running EvoX on my xbox, and am also using XBMC.

I have been FTPing movie files over to the xbox HD, but it has been getting annoying switching files around the 4gig HD.

I have an 8gig flash drive I would like to plug in. What I want to do is have movies on my flash drive, then plug it into the USB port on the xbox, and play files in XBMC off of the flash drive. I found tutorials on opening up the system and adding a USB port, but could I get this cable and save myself the time?

If this isn't possible, what should I do?

That cable is fine, but your plan is flawed. The Xbox USB ports are version 1.1 (hence quite slow), and the drive is limited to 4GB by the Xbox BIOS.

For movies, you can either upgrade the drive on your Xbox to hold more movies, or share them from your PC or from a NAS. The first is more portable, the second more scalable. I'd share from PC or NAS.
