I didn't flash my xbox myself because I'm just not experienced in this kind of thing at all and gave it to a friend of a friend and he did it for a small fee, but I can't reach him and I want to know how do I find out which version of firmware I have on my 360?

Without dumping the FW you wont know 100%, but you can narrow it down close enough. First off when is your console MFD, second when was your drive flashed and thirdly what colour wire does your drive have. Liteon will be yellow. Look here to find out.

Chances are you prob have either 1.4 or 1.5, both stealth, so no, you cant boot those games.

I would imagine its probably 1.3 if it was flashed around march 2007, possibly 1.2 depending on his sources. Maybe even older than that.

Oh and btw are 1.2 and 1.3 stealth? I never really played any game on live, I bought the 360 just for single player and local multiplayer so I wouldn't know anything about it. And if the versions are stealth does that mean that I will be able to play new games like hawx and such on my xbox without updating to 1.6?
