how can i change the ltp port to a com port
vb_encryption_vb
personaly id make things simple

1. Order ck3 or something similar, i bought some kit from the dude in the bst's and it works great!

2. Read and Click on my Sig.
xboxnewbie99
k i found out i can change my lpt port to a com port in dos now what doss program can i try to use to get my key and ofw off this lite-on drive
xboxnewbie99
i cannot figger this out any one wanna help
xboxnewbie99
ive been doing a tone of reading and i finally came across doing this in dos mode off my usb stick if i want can i get the key in dos and then flash in windows. and while flashing do i still need too have the probe hooked up?? or is that just to get the key file off the drive??
ken D.
depending on your setup...if you have a probe just use dvdkey32 to extract the key...you use it in command prompt in windows..you need to extract the key before you flash your drive..when flashing you don't need the probe hookup anymore..it's just for extracting the key...
xboxnewbie99
ok so this is what im doing now im booting off the usb i chose the drive that the liteon is then when it askes if i want to send command till it response i chose no then i type in liteon k and it askes me to type inquiry.bin identify.bin key.bin dummy.bin. after i do that it askes what port and i chose 1 and then it says dvd key invalid in the meanwile ive got a pin in the 707 hole on the dvd drive. its pushed half way in and the pin 3 off the connector that controls the open and close of the drive is removed. green light on xbox is flashing green. im stumped. if i use dvdkey how would i put that to my usb stick and do it through dos
xboxnewbie99
everytime i do it it says dvd-key is invalid im lost

Just buy a CK3 Pro and use your USB port rather than the printer port make things easier :S
xboxnewbie99
well ya it would make things allot eisyer but im trying to use what i got here first right. i have a nother computer with a com port now but it only has 1 hdd sata port on it so thats why id like to do it all through dos so i dont need my hdd hooked up just use my usb stick and id rather buy a ck3 locally from here (edmonton alberta canada)

I tried extracting the keys without a probe/spear and got nowhere.. maybe you had the same problem I did

yeah, but their extractors worked, and were done properly.

where is your spear or a pic of your setup? I think your rig is messed up, it's not about DOS or JF, it's a hardware problem.
xboxnewbie99
i followed the pic i posted here to build and im using a small pin that will go in to hole 707 on the dvd drive i made sur my npn was hooked up right aswell checked the alldatasheet website for that but mabe ive got the resistors the wrong way like if it matters. i mean by that is mabe there is a in and out on a resistor. but other then that its a match. when im trying to get the key i already have it all hooked up and i already have the drive pushed half way in. the pin just sits kinda snug in 707 hole. is there anyother hole i need to bridge with that. i read somewhere that some people had sucsess with 707 and 708 bridged.

1) buy a kit

OR

2) pay someone to do it
