Sounds like a great price however I see no way to get

I can only see an option to add a stand alone Xtractor for $39.

Really good price, and a great product, I have the original and it has worked great and flashed around 20 or so 360's with it before I had an CK2 and well it's nothing compared to the extractor. The spear is great, and has drastically cut down the time to flash a drive to around 10 min from taking apart testing and putting back together. Just make sure that you connect the spear properly and you'll be all set. IMO way better the all the homemade and DIY kits out there I like things that I can just plug and play and alot of people have problems with those kits, I never had a problem with the extractor. Yes it works through USB inside of windows. I just tested out USB 1.1 this afternoon. Dumped without problems. You have to follow instructions on Maximus website. No soldering.

Up the prices to $48 because of added PPTC fuses. Still cheaper than Xcuter CK3.

I can't speak for the seller, but I can say that I have an xtractor and I LOVE it!!!! I have flashed about 12 Lite-ons with it (with the spear addon of course) and I use it all the time to power other drives up for flashing (just used it today for 4 BenQ drives)

Just thought I would add my 2 cents in about the xtractor and to give the seller a free bump.

Agreed. Even if you are flashing a Samsung, Hitachi or Benq, the Xtractor has it's place. While the huge benefit is the serial transfer for extracting keys from the Lite-on, it is still very handy as a power source to those other drives and executing the VCC trick to get them into vendor mode or Mode B so that you can read/flash their firmwares.

I have yet to do a lite-on with the kit as I just got it a few days ago and haven't received a lite-on yet, but it has been a big help in doing everyone of the others just as a power source and easy on/off switch.

I also strongly advise using a VIA add in card with only the PortIO drivers installed. I have flashed all of the drives above using just Jungleflasher and it works flawlessly. No need for Slax to get in modeB, no need for other utils to flash the drive, it can all be done from one great windows application.

I guess this is yet another bump for a great seller.

The xtractor's also work very well with the other drives. Samsung, hitachi, benq. The samsung's require to do the power off and power on during erase and flash. So, do the Benq. So, it's much better than yanking and replugging the dvd power cable(if you're using the 360 to power it).

I ordered mine and it came very promptly. I think in 2 or 3 days from west coast to east. Finally got my friend's 360 with Liteon and modded it. The Executer worked great!!! This is a great deal and the spear is the best! I love how it lights up green to show you it's connected properly and it turns blue when you have it on the right hole on the drive!

I highly recommend this product and seller!

I do have a suggestion though. I didn't get any documentation whatsoever with mine. I would suggest you at least include a note with the package that says go to your website or Maximus or whatever for the documentation. I had to dig to find out which way the plug went for the spear as you can put it on either way. The green light tells you it's hooked up right but not sure what would happen if it wasn't. At the very minimum you need a sheet that shows how to hook the wires up.

People also need to know that they will need a USB cable that has the small connector on it like you use to hook a digital camera to your computer. It doesn't come with this. Luckily I already had one.

The other thing which is not the seller's fault. The Maximus tutorial on the Maximus reader is good but they don't tell you that you need the drive tray to be halfway in. Basically you have to turn on the drive, eject it. Turn it off and push it halfway in. Then turn the drive/executer back on. Otherwise it will NOT read the key. They don't tell you this anywhere in the video nor do they show it. I couldn't get Maximus Reader to work so I tried Jungleflasher. I found out about it reading the Jungleflasher tutorial I think.

Anyway good price, great product and prompt delivery! Fix the few things I mentioned and you'll have a perect 10!

Yeah you are correct abou t that. The drive should be in half open o r half closed status. You can do it as you have proposed. But, I think the tutorial s that exist out there sya to do it with the power of the drive on, then while closing the tray that you should cut power when it is 50% of the way closed. In my experience it is usually 60-65% closed. Or you can do it another way which is to slide the tray open to 35-40% open from a completely closed state while the power is off, then power it on. Either way works...even your way obviously. I guess there are 3 ways to do it.

I got mine today. It was broken. The pinheaders on the board where the spear connects had to be bent a certain way for the probe to light up. Pin 4&5 on the 5 pin header wasn't properly soldered in. I ended up removing it all together and since I bent the crap out of the pin,s replaced it with gold plated ones. oh yeah the ptc fuses look like someone had changed out the normal one shot ones for ptc fuses in a hurry. I ended up redoing that to. All in all it's a great product. It does what it's suppose to so I'm happy. PLus some of it lights up blue!

I sent it working! The pptc fuses were put in with care. What are you griping about? You got it for a cheap price? Cheaper than the other people that sell it. I'm glad it works. I know because I test each one before I ship it out.

Received my product on Friday. Modded Xbox 360 yesterday. Everything works as expected.

Are you sure? Like I said the last 2 pins weren't soldered in. The pads were just covered with solder. Oh well. Must've gotten a bad one in the batch. Any ways with 30 mins of work it works like a champ. All I really care about is that it now works. Nice job on the shipping. Got here super fast. If I'd had to get another one I'd get it here.
