just downloaded AID 4.40 and its update 4.41 and I would like to:

1- change to a new and improved bios

2- be able to install a new and bigger harddrive

3- get rid of evox and install xbmc as a dashboard

I paid 7 years ago some money to get the xbox working using a modchip but I don´t know if I was scammed because xbmc doesnt recognize the modchip...

when I turn on my xbox with the drive button the color change to red and I don´t like that, but if I turn it on normally (on-off button) IGR doesn´t work, which is a dessapointment for me.

what information do I need to do it and what information do you need to help me?

I backedup C drive, what else do I need to back up?

according to bios checker´s bios scan 4.0b by CrackJack the bios is a "3944 Retail"
and according to bios checker v50 (.xbe) it IS the same 3944 retail bios and it doesnt give me the name of the modchip. it says: MODCHIP(or unknown Homebrew)

edit: the reason I want to change the bios is because all over the 7 years I have my xbox modded, sometimes when it boots it gives me some kind of error that looks like as it is trying to boot to the original dashboard but it can´t and it keeps there forever if I don´t reset it.

in the xbmc hardware information tab it says that MODCHIP LOOKUP IS DISABLED.

Then your box is softmodded not chipped. bfm is boot from media (hard drive)

and they told me it was going to be a modchip
