hello. i have the problem that i only have acces to a laptop. only pc i can use that will boot from the xboxhdm iso. so i bought a sanberg usb all in one usb connecter, so now i can connect to the hardrive by usb. it shows up in my bios, but in the xboxhdm it just say that i havent got a hdd on the primary master spot and i have to shut down and put it in and then start again. is there any option so that i can make this hdd? i havent got a chip in my xbox its just a soft moded one using splintercell exploit. the hdd i try to use is a 120gb maxtor diamond plus 9 ata/133

any advice? im gonna use it to store movies on, so its gonna be a media center if that will give me any other options.

You need to use Chimp or lxhdm. Ldotsfan describes both (plus some other methods that won't work for you!) in this post.
