mindbomb
hey!

See if you can help or advise since this problem is driving me f%^ING lunantic..
I burn a 100% ABGX3600 verified+fixed ISO images using IMGBURN to a verbatim DVD-DL media using my pioneer burner.
After the disc is ready I recheck it with ABGX360 and I ALWAYS ALWAYS get:

"Video partition does not match known data (should have matched 2nd wave)
Stealth check failed!"

this is SOO frustrating since I did check/fix the original image and the disc is live-unplayable (wouldn't check and take the risk) It does play normally however on single player...
I already destroyed a SHITLOAD of DVD-R-DL medias and killed hours on this. ohmy.gif

another odd thing:
after I burn I recheck the image itself and ABGX detects it as with bad video partion (like the disc itself), even though it passed all checks perfectly BEFORE I burnt it!!! as if IMGBURN touchs the image ISO file in some bad way... uhh.gif

what the HELL is going on in here??? any ideas? leads, directions?? blink.gif

please help
thanks

What drive/method are you using to get the image and what burner are you using?
Seacrest
[22:52:46] <Seacrest> so you check the iso with abgx360, it passes
[22:52:49] <Seacrest> burn with imgburn
[22:53:04] <Seacrest> and check disc with abgx360 directly
[22:53:10] <mindbomb> yep!
[22:53:16] <mindbomb> and get bad video partition
[22:53:47] <Seacrest> put verbosity on high and save output to text
[22:53:59] <Seacrest> then put it on pastebin for me
[22:55:42] <Seacrest> you use latest imgburn?
[22:56:36] <mindbomb> yep
[22:56:39] <mindbomb> I am DCCing it
[22:56:45] <mindbomb> the text file
[22:56:51] <Seacrest> won't work
[22:57:05] <Seacrest> http://pastebin.com/
[22:58:15] <mindbomb> done
[22:58:21] <mindbomb> have a look
[22:58:27] <Seacrest> i need the link
[22:58:29] <Seacrest> hehe
[22:58:41] <mindbomb> oops
[22:58:41] <mindbomb> http://pastebin.com/m3bb65254
[22:59:22] <Seacrest> Volume ID: "MIRRORSEDGE"
[22:59:26] <Seacrest> that's your problem
[22:59:43] <mindbomb> no way! you sure?
[22:59:44] <Seacrest> did you tell imgburn to use a custom label?
[22:59:54] <mindbomb> donno
[22:59:58] <mindbomb> I did change it though
[23:00:01] <mindbomb> what should it be?
[23:00:07] <Seacrest> leave it alone
[23:00:26] <Seacrest> it changes for different waves
[23:00:38] <mindbomb> but imgburn always defaults to:
[23:00:44] <mindbomb> (just a sec)
[23:01:52] <mindbomb> XGD2DVD_NTSC
[23:01:59] <mindbomb> no matter what image/region I put
[23:02:24] <mindbomb> I've been told this data it's not even accessed
[23:02:48] <Seacrest> i had no idea you could even manually change it
[23:03:03] <Seacrest> but XGD2DVD_NTSC is just the label MS used for 2nd wave video
[23:03:12] <mindbomb> oh boy
[23:03:30] <Seacrest> how did you change it anyway?
[23:03:31] <mindbomb> I'll sacrifice another media and check
[23:03:41] <mindbomb> right click on the volme label in imgburn
[23:03:50] <Seacrest> aha
[23:03:54] <Seacrest> yeah don't do that
[23:03:55] <Seacrest> lol
[23:04:07] <mindbomb> if that's the only thing - you're the man
[23:04:38] <mindbomb> I am pretty sure I burnt lots of other games without changing the volume label
[23:04:49] <mindbomb> and got the same problem, but maybe I'm wrong
[23:04:59] <mindbomb> worth another media anyway
[23:06:06] <mindbomb> 10x man!!
[23:07:40] <mindbomb> shit that explains why the file was touched after burning - coz imgburn change the volume label on the ISO itself!!! damn
[23:08:33] <Seacrest> yeah the funny thing about apps is that they do exactly what you tell them
[23:08:38] <Seacrest> lol
[23:08:43] <mindbomb> hehe
