Watchdog, the consumer TV program from the British BBC has broadcast an investigation into Xbox 360 disc scratching.



This is a problem that has plagued many Xbox 360 users but always been put down to consumer misuse by Microsoft.

Didn't some Sweedish program do a similar thing about 2 years ago. I really dont think this is a problem now unless you move your console whilst the disc is spinning, in which case you are an idiot.

I know of a Dutch TV program that investigated the problem and I certainly know that disc scratching also occurs without moving the console.

I had this problem with my Sammy drive in my launch console. It would only happen while the console was horizontal.. Which is how I like to play my games. My drive would honk like someone blowing hard through a wet kazoo while the console was vertical. Very annoying.. Recently bought a new arcade with a Liteon drive. I hope the scratching issues have been resolved.
