Hi,

Here are my specifications below.

Hardware:-
Pioneer DVR-216D ATA
Samsung SH-D163B ATA
XBOX iXtreme v1.5
Aone DVD+R 8x Stock code: REM-DVD-AONE+R

Software:-
Schtrom v4.0
Kreon v1.0 flashed on samsung drive
ImgBurn v2.4.2.0
Vista

So far I have followed this guide to extract and burn my games:-
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=670692 (I however use Schtrom for extraction not XBC and imgburn)
I have been doing this for 3 months and never been banned from Live.

My question is just for clarification as I am debating with my mate who says you still need to run
Abgx/Mulleter to stealth patch games. I have refered him to this excellent thread and in particular emphasied this section:-

ABGX and Mulleter DB: No discussion on Online Database portion of such tools.
These tools are of no use if you did the backup yourself, you know that all these stealth components match together because you extracted them from the same original
You need a drive (kreon or X360) that can extract the SS, and as a result you can just do a "complete Backup" right from the start, and no need to inject anything
Using these tools to change stealth component is the equivalent to downloading stealth file which against our rules.

I guess that he has the wong end of the stick and has the wrong concept of what is going on. Because he mentioned that the SS is removed when using Mulleter and thus MS cannot ban you from Live.
But then I replied if you remove the SS then the disc will not be read by your flashed iXtreme v1.5 drive as this amongst other things checks the integrity of the SS(!)

However, I am not concerned with that I just need a thumbs up that my process is right because it is taken from a Head Moderators post?

Also I will be purchasing Monsters vs Aliens and Afro Samurifor the kids how do I check that this game does/does not have the NXE update which then requires a reflash of my drive to iXtreme 1.52/1.6?
I am really happy with iXtreme 1.5 so far and had no problems but with 'wave 3' games I think that i will be forced to update so the backup games can be read. I know that my originals work as will have them.
But then the reason I flashed the drive was to preserve the originals from kids grubby hands handling the discks and laser scratches.

When ever I decide to update to iXtreme 1.52/1.6 do I continue to extract and burn in the same way? ie will I need to update my Schtrom software and Kreon Drive aswell?
Also my mate says burning at 1X speed is better than 4X (I burn at 4X) as it makes disc reading quieter. Is this a placebo affect or is their some technical advantage?

Sorry if this is long.
Thanks.

Wow you could have made that post so much shorter. In future if you want a fast response to your question make it short and too the point. Anyway back to your questions.

Use XBC, it automatically does everything for you and no injecting is required. The iso it gives is ready to burn straight away, however it is a good idea to run it through abgx (mulleter is outdated) just to double check. Monsters vs Aliens have the 3rd wave NXE update in it and there is no way to tell before somebody rips it and reports there results.

My advice is to upgrade to 1.51 (It will most likely be the last upgrade for awhile), use XBC to extract your image, burn with imgburn at 2.4 and use good media like verbatims DL made in Singapore. Upgrading to 1.51 wont change your backup procedure.
