Been having the same problem for a long time now. was searching all last night and no 1 else seems to have a problem.
Specs that i have and am using.
got a sh-d163b with kreon 1.0. thats works all fine
drive is an external drive. this is usb to sata. pretty simple and shows up fine and is powered by the pack that is then connected to the mains like it should.
installed XBC and schtrom and both load.
XBC v2.8 and schtrom v4
Here is the PROBLEM
1. XBC firstly lists the drive in my laptop and the external drive. thats fine
try to rip a game in XBC, i unlock then drive and it shows the correct size
However when i go to click on START it shaded grey and so cnt clcik on it.
Then i have always used Schrtom. this again lists the 2 drives fine
And so i click on whole disk (stealth xtreme 3.0 splitvid)
and click where i wan it to save
and clcik start. All previous games have worked correctlty
however i have now got HAWK and tryed using both programs and have now failed and havent managed to rip HAWK.
Have ran out of ideas, When i rip HAWk a message pops up saying about sector mapping. And that xbox1 games have this but xbox360 games shouldnt and so asks to fill the gaps with zeros.
Never had this before and is starting 2 BUG me.
I no people are clever than me and could someone please help me out
thanyou

Hi, i did a quick search for you...here is a reply from Schtrom regarding the msgbox pops up.
Even though the reply is old...your symptom sound the same.
Hawx obviously is not Xbox1 game...maybe a scratch disc...read Schtrom suggestion...

Could it be something simple like the game I'm trying to back up is just too scratched? It seems that sometimes it will work just fine and other times the msgbox pops up. Condemned: Criminal Origins still gives me the msgbox but at different times during the extraction process. With my xbox 1 games the msgbox pops up everytime, but I assume that is because the game data doesn't fill the entire disk and schtrom360xtract needs to fill in that empty space.
Schtrom replied:
Scratches are always bad! I would try to set the Read Blocks on Error under options to a greater value. Maybe even activate the Single Sector Read. For XBOX1 discs I would recommend using the Sector Mapping option. This shouldn't give any errors during extraction and the extraction is much faster, cause the security placeholders on the disc, which cause reading errors, are placed outside the file system. Personally I would NEVER burn a XBOX360 backup which gives extraction errors!
