hey everyone, first time messing with a 360 over here. ive been a long time member of the xbox1 club..never had a single problem.
now i was given a 360, falcon chip. when i got it it had no video but sound. did the RROD fix which brought video back, but it was still overheating after about 5 minutes game play.
tried everything to keep it cool.... notta. even when the heatsink stays cool the GPU is still overheating and artifacting real bad.
now, a couple overheats later...nothing.
no video output.
no audio output
when i unplug the av's and boot the box, i do not get 4 flash rrod. which i find odd.
the only time it ever red ringed was with the penny mod in place which made it 2 flash rrod. took them out and its back to running, but no audio or video like i said.
is this thing completely toast? are there any other tricks out there to get it back running im not aware of?
i have read every tut, watched all the vid's on youtube....tried it all with no avail. only thing i havent done is heatgun the board. but from the look of the solder its got more than hot enough to reball on several occasions.

I had the same problem and using the ovenfix solved it. The error code explains that it was a overheating problem but in most cases its just broken solders points. Im pretty conficent that you can get it back up and running again but there also a possibilty you fried something. Anyway its worth a shot.

Uhh maybe a little late, but I had this problem after the xclamp removal (the constant overheating problem). I noticed once I took the washers off (all of them) the system would boot fine and stay fine. I have not fixed a lot of consoles (meaning as in numbers of how many consoles given to me) but I have fixed 2 of them by leaving the washers off. I think the heatsinks were not touching and hovering over the chips. I did the proper procedures with screw->washer->Motherboard->washer->washer->heatsink but still had a problem and removed them. Now its screw->Motherboard->heatsink. However I only tightened as strong as my fingers, you also have to keep the heatsinks level when tightening the screws.

My xbox has been doing the same thing. I've taken it apart to the mother board, and will be finishing it up tonight. Hopefully, it will work.
