I just installed xbox media center on my xbox and I thought everything went ok. When I load an original game it will play the game for a few min. then the screen will go black and the led will flash. I cannot power off when this happens or will the cd drive open and I have to unplug. When I dont load any games or dvds the xbox will stay powered on for as long as you would like. Did I break anything when I took my xbox aprt because it worked before this... But i already tried to cd drives and it does the same thing.

any ideas???

and, dumb question, but did you make sure you plugged the fan back in? both fans if its a 1.0

Yes I plugged back in the fan. It flashes orange but I think the led is all weird now because of the softmod.

A console may also flash orange if it's overheating, and given that your console only does this while "under load", that could well be the problem.

Could be a loose heatsink?
