I used to have a V1 XCM chameleon case, which was absolute zero quality once you put it together, you can't ever take it apart the normal way without breaking the plastic.
Also the manufacture quality was sh!t.

So, i'm thinking of casemodding again, and is this case any better than v1?

Well, mostly never is a V2 put out without it being better. But I would assume the plastic is pretty close to the same. And I've used a couple so I can sympathize with you on the put it together and never take it apart.
Anyhow, if you still have the original xbox 360 case, why not just mod that yourself?

dremel, 40 bucks
paint, at least 20 bucks
plexiglass, 5 bucks
other tools, ? bucks

Well that would be the first time for me and from what i see it's way more expensive, and i don't think i can deliver such a perfect job on the original case.

You get that thing and start doing anything on your box your imagination lets you and you will spit at xcm
I promise you, you will love it.
Plus, there are SO many other uses for the tools you'll be getting.

Do you think a window/paint job will look good on the first try?

Honestly, everyone has a "first try", and I'd love to be the person to nudge you into doing your first try.
And yes, I do think it could look good. Look at my wip in my signature. It is my first try ever at modding. I had a lot of fumbles and what not but it turned out pretty decent. There are many flaws but that's good. Shows personality.

Now i thought i still had an old case from another 360 laying around to practice it on first... apparently that has magically disappeared now.

So yeah... that's really going to be my first try, actually. But really... if i would buy the clear case ultra pack, it would be much and much cheaper then. A custom window/paint job is nice, but takes a lot of time and practice to get a true piece of art.

I would'nt know any other job i could use a dremel for... so that would be a waste of money then.

Maybe i'll buy the clear case first, just to make it easy for me and save up time i guess i store my xbox 360 case carefully... and then maybe mod it after i have thought out everything and when i have loads of time for it.

alright, fck XCM, i'm modding my xbox myself. altough spending almost as much as the xbox 360 arcade is worth is kind of silly
