I have replaced the evox.ini file, but I am still getting the very basic menu when I start up my box, I even removed the evox.ini file completely and it still starts up with the basic menu. I haven't done anything with the evoxdash.xbe could this be where the problem lies. I'm just trying to get through the initial menu so I can get to my XBMC to play my games. my old menu had play media/games from hard drive, emulators, etc..- thanks

why dont you just replace evox altogether with uleashx or xbmc as your main dash.
if your xbox is chipped its very easy just download auto installer disc,burn to dvd and you can choose which dash you want.

if I remove the evox.ini and the evoxdash.xbe, is it likely my XBMC will show and I can just use my box from there??

deleted evox.ini and evoxdash.xbe, recieved a system failure, press A to restore and now everything is perfectly fine thanks to everyone for getting me through this and your patience you guys are the best!!!!
