After 2 hours of play the temps are still at 33-34C at around 25C Ambient. Not too bad. The 120 on the Rad is practically silent.

wow that water cooling setup looks awesome, also nice paint job smile.gif. I have a few questions though..

How long does it take for you to normally have to refill the water tank?

And this question is just for fun: Is that Fallout 3 I see on the tv(I think I can tell because of the Brahim and the Flamethrower)

But over all gj

This is sweet haha

Yo another question for ya... is a temp sensor built into that waterblock?? Or is it a temp sensor somewhere else telling you and you just put the led screen there.

What waterblock is that?

No I installed the temp sensor to the 5v standby... got it from Jab-Tech.

Its the XSPC Xbox 360 CPU/GPU Waterblock.

Let's hope so! I should've tested the temps with the stock fans and heatsinks but I was impulsive. I saw a post (a while ago) saying a stock 360's avg. temps were:

GPU - 146 F (63 C)
CPU - 137 F (58 C)

But that was tested on an older model. However right now my temps are practically half of that...

Anyone have the average temps of the Falcon/Jaspers?

I got a RROD with my watercooled setup sadly sad.gif

What? Ive read that there havent been any RRoD's w/ watercooling setups... Please tell me your kidding. What model was your xbox and what setup did you have going on?

I even said that it doesn't guarantee you wont get RROD!

mad.gif MS and stupid LeadFree Solder........ it's a law and kid toy manufacturing thing...... grr.gif

@ commandersafi

There's still a risk of RROD, even when watercooling, but i still think it's extremely low. 1 watercooled xbox with rrod doesn't mean anything. Most people start watercooling after they've had their 360 for a while or after rrod, it's pretty obvious it's going to break sooner or later.

A jasper xbox, watercooled from the start, has a low risk of rrod, but that still doesn't mean it's fool-proof. Even gamecubes break, and they're pretty much undestructible.

btw sudden: it's impossible that lead-free solder is the main cause of problems. the main causes are a bad cooling setup and bad clamping technique, coupled with cheap-ass motherboard manufacturing. You can solve problem 1 and 2, 3 is pretty much impossible to solve dry.gif

Thanks for all the input guys! I'm really just hoping to prevent RROD with this console. As all my previous consoles I've reacted AFTER it crapped out. X-clamp and AS5 etc after I got RROD fixed it temporarily... but not permanently. Let's hope that changed. I mainly did it just because I love doing stuff like this! I've never even WCed a PC, so the xbox was a challenge.

Just a small update: Changed the temp sensor to red.

nice work, what does it cost to do a typical watercooled setup?

It really depends. I spent about $300 to $350.

Its not going to be the same for everyone. Some spend $150 and some as much as $700. It depends on the parts, fittings, hoses etc etc.

You can pick up kits for around 100-150$
But as always you get what you pay for and they will be WAY less reliable than others

I would not recommend a kit, as you said they are way less reliable, not to mention they contain some crappy parts and performance will suffer.

If you're willing to watercool anything, you're much better off buying the parts yourself.

I def. wouldn't recommend a kit either. Just laying the options out. Some people like to try out the cheap stuff to see if they want to fully submerse themselves in a project. And sometimes the kits do work fine. It's just hey have a higher failure rate.
nike_dunk
check ebay honestly i got a thermaltec big water kit for 40$ all i need is a water block which im looking for a cheap option or ill just use it in my pc if i get my tec's working
SlvrDragon50
Sorry to bring this from the dead... but what size hose is that?
