would it be possible to use linux (on an xbox 360 w/ king kong exploit) to find the liscence files for downloaded content using terminal?
I was going to get an infectus chip to downgrade my xbox 360 but that gets kind of pricey.

Live connection encryption is too hard to hack (or too dangerous if you get caught).
Also it's not easy to temper with 360 official partition.
Therefore, usually, you format a standard partition to go along with your Linux,
so you don't have access to an official 360 official partition directly (even if you swap drives).
There are tools for messing with 360 official partition files but they usually require that you connect hard drive to a PC in a specific way (or with a specific tool).
