I am currently working on a Flashing solution for all drive..
The goal is to bypass the Xbox powering the Drive and have everything powered by the PSU in the PC...

here is what i have so far..

i need to know a few things..

----The value for the CAP on the output of the LM3940...

----The value for the CAP on the Ground on the LM3940..

and most importantly will it work, 1A supply to the DVD rive is enough don't u Think ?

Just my opinion I really dont see the point. You still have to access the sata port hich means still taking the case apart .
I suggest you just by a 360Blaster instead and then you never have to take the 360 apart again to flash and you use a molex power supply so the drive isnt powered by the 360 during flashing

ppl with a VIA card don't have to take the case apart... ...
and now days everyone seems to be using a VIA card because it is the only one that work for all drives without opening then Except for Liteon ofcourse..

and the blaster isnt exactly cheap at $90AUD.
the one about would cost no more than maybe $10 AUD max...
