I realize the boards are not exactly the same and the motor in the benq is not the same however dimensions are exactly the same and I have tried to move the benq board to the liteon drive. reason is because I have a liteon drive that is basically brand new but someone fried the board (powered upside down)and I have a benq that won't read disks and has a damaged tray.

So at this point I have followed the wires and soldered them into the correct positions (or so I believe).
The drive powers up and ejects just fine. I flashed it with the correct keys for a system and tested it but I just get open tray msg when i stick in a disk. Seemed to flash very quickly which struck me as strange but who knows.....

Not sure where I have gone wrong.

perhaps someone can show me an image of the wireing to make sure I have done it properly.

This may not be something that anyone has done before so I am just putting it out there.
