Hi Guys,

I recently compiled kernel 2.6.16 (with xbox patch applied) for use under Xebian,

Everything works ok except for "shutdown -h now" which will shutdown and turn off the xbox under kernel 2.4.31 but under kernel 2.6.16 it just shutsdown but doesn't power off. I have also tried "shutdown -hP now" and this doesn't work either.

Anyone else run into this problem and maybe have a fix for it?

i am a "noob" in Linux, and i tried kernel update without success.
I want to try some USB-hardware on my Linux-XBox, but it´s
recommended a kernel of minimum 2.6.12. Since 4 weeks i try
to update the 2.4.kernel of my native installed Xebian, but no
chance.
I tried all howtos (~3), that i have found in the internet without
any result. For the patches i´ve found, i can´t get a kernel-
source (apt-get) and for the kernel-sources i can get, there
is no patch available.
I´m nearly getting crazy.

Now my biggest question:
Do you know where to find a Xebian CD-image
with kernel 2.6.16 for native installation??
This would be the finest solution after 4 weeks
of "no chance to figure out, how it works".
