I have a modded 1.1 xbox, D6 bios, the latest evox, 100 gig drive.

A few days ago the network connection stopped. No more lights on the back. Tried different hubs/routers even a cross-over. Even tried xecuter/ms bios. No luck. I have searched everywhere for info on a bad/no network on an xbox. Is it time for a new motherboard or has anyone else experienced a failed hardware connection and been able to repair it.

Its an odd case because the box is fully functional otherwise.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use Win 2000, so I can change the IP in real time. However, the problem exists in hardware because the green connection light in the back of the xbox won't turn on when I plug in the xbox to the PC or router. I use the proper cables I am sure, and have tested them with my PC. Previously, I was able to hook up the xbox and watch the status change in the settings part of Evox dashboard. But now, nothing. Its possible that an electrical surge could have caused the problem, but in all cases, I am sure it is hardware side. Thus I am probably going to end up buying another board, even though this one works properly except for the network connection.

If anyone has any alternatives please let me know, as I the board will be sitting around for awhile.

Thanks
