As many of you have noticed, our forums have been offline for approximately 2.5 days. Just to reiterate, this was due to disputes between the datacenter where our servers were hosted and our service provider. The problems were completely beyond our control and we received notice only 1.5 days in advance warning us that the datacenter's link to the internet would be severed. Moving the main site and other satellite sites was nearly transparent, however due to the special hardware and software setup required to host the forums, they took longer to migrate. The hardware we required took longer to assemble and configure than the hardware for the main site and the software setup was significantly more complicated, but we got to work on it as soon as we could. We would like to recognize and thank romracer for his efforts in helping us setup the forum servers and bring the forums back online. Without his generous help, this would have taken much longer. Thank you, romracer! We are still optimizing many aspects (the forum servers setup in particular), but all services appear stable for now. We'll monitor the performance of the servers and make changes as necessary. If you experience any difficulties, please drop us a line by replying to this post in the forums. Glad to be back on the xbox-scene forums! I'd like to thank all of you for all your hard work getting these forums up again a.s.a.p. I have been a member and regular user here since '03 and I cannot express my gratitude enough for being a part of this community. THANK YOU!

Glad to see it back up, just a shame on how many immature people trying to take advantage of the CBox chat while the forums were down

Damn... I was having nightmares because of this whole offline situation. I need to be on x-s. It is like a drug!!!!! I got my fix so now I can sleep easy once again!!!

I almost cried when the forums went... is that dependance? I think it is..

I want to give a huge thanks to all of the admins for getting the forums up so quickly. I was modding an original Xbox while the forums were down and I had to Google a few things. The bad news for me was that every single one of the top results led back to this site .

excellent work to all those involved in bringing the site back online - quite an amazing task to only be down for 2.5 days and have to migrate the content!
