I just modded my Benq yesterday and I´m not sure if it works properly. When I hold the power button the light doesn´t turn off - but I can´t play originals, when I start it by eject button - I can play originals. Further I can´t play backups - I see only play dvd except play game - but I´m not sure that my backups are good. Is it bad installation or chip ?? Please help.

why do you even need this chip with a benq they flash and work perfectly well without it ..

UPDATE - I partially fixed my problem - the chip is installed properly - the power didn´t turned off, but the problem was/is with the burning backups. I found a doc how to burn for NME but it doesn´t work for every game some goes some not. Have someone tip how to burn backups? I use SS Merger 1.7b and ImgBurn I don´t use NME-360 associator, because everything i modified by it didn´t go.

would it not be a hell of a lot easier just to take off that pointless chip and flash with ixtreme 1.6 from what i read off there site it does sod bollocks all of any value what so ever that ixtreme dosent and burning disks without it would be alot easier ie click .dvd file after checking threw abgx burn job done play

but to burn the disks you would be best using the associator for that pointless chip
the only time i could see it being of any use is with a hitachi drive which is the only one that bricks
myself i would much rather flash it then wire 16 od wires but each to there own

Yeah, you are right. Flashing is better than chiping, I know it for now. Thanks for help and advise :-)

a decent chip would be nice but there won t be one any time soon
but the one you have does give you more of chance or getting ban and disks are a lot harder to burn
