You can't play if it splits that screen in four.

Nope no hoax...they are real. The company also makes them for PS2 and gamecube. I saw them down at the local CompUSA about a month ago but I dont remember how much they are. They also featured them on Fresh Gear (Tech TV) either last night or the night before, cant remember.

Don't they cost around $100?

That is what I thought I saw them for but couldnt remember and didnt want to give false info. Not to bad a price considering a replacement M$ controller is like $30.

I saw them to, I don't remember the price but it was to expensive. If you use four at a time it's gota be just a huge mess of wires running all over the place.

How the hell do you expect to get four seperate displays, one on each controller? The Xbox only has one video output, let alone four simultaneous ones. All these would do is make Halo completely unplayable.

when people want the thread to get to the top of the list, they 'bump' it by posting. THis works because X-S lists the threads that have been posted in most recently at the top of the list.
About the controllers, they are pretty neat. Probably pretty expensive too...

What about doing that mod to make the xbox have a digital output, then running it to one of those boxes that run computers on tv? Would they be able to split the screen up? Just a thought...

The retail price of these is $100...I saw one at an EB...(that's Electronic Boutique - for the Bump guy

)
There is no way to get 4 of these running Halo or anything else. The LCD screen replaces whatever display you have currently running...the cable simply has two connections - one for the game port and one for the video out.

yep... it would do nothing except for make a split screen on each controller... stupid overpriced invention.

As far as I know, You would still need 4 Xbox's, 4 of these controllers and a hub to play Halo without split screen. All they do is replace the Tv's in link play. Nice if you do not want to lug Tv's to your friends house though.

Actually guys, they're crap. The LCD is even worse than the PS2/Intec portable LCD's. They went down to 79.99 at my store (I manage a Gamestop), but they were already recalled due to slow selling.

OK!
Then it really SUCKS!!!!!
BUT "Multiplayer Support for up to 4 players"...
It can't split that screen in four parts! You can't see a shit then...
MAybe it has some hardware that splits that screen up. You put one controller in the second controller and it splits it up!
It doesn't sound possible but "It can't split that screen in four parts!"

I bought one a few months back for 79.99. First of all the screen is decent quality but strains the eyes after a few mins. Second, it just has a tap that runs off the main video feed to hook in other ones onto the chain so there is no true "split screen" for each person. Third, there are too many wires. Youve got the 12v AC line, and the controller line, and the video line. Thats way too many. Imagine hooking up 4 of them together. Also- the box says it has stereo sound, but it doesnt. - its only got one shitty speaker.
A Better solution would be my LCD screen that I posted a few months back. I customized it by routing power that would normally come from its wall mounted AC adapter directly into the Xbox's power supply through a drill hole in the xbox outer shell. Therefore, the whole xbox is portable with a DC inverter for your car (at least a 300w)- They run $40.00 US at Walmart.
Someone Message me if you can host a pic for me of it.
