If I want to transfer a DVD that i legally i backed up from PC to xbox360, and burned to a blank DVD-R, do i need a modchip or any other type of modification?

hmmm, i suppose the answer depends on what you mean when you say "transfer a DVD"...

"transfer" probably does not mean you want to play the physical movie disc in your 360 because the console does not care if your dvd movie is a retail copy and i am assuming you would have found that out on your own.

if "transfer a dvd" means you want to copy the whole ts/vob to your 360 hdd, this is not possible with a 360, but you can do it with an old xbox1 so perhaps you are wondering because of the old xbox1.

if "transfer a dvd" means you want to stream the ts/vob from your pc to your 360 for watching on a tv, then, yes that is possible. to learn more about streaming your ts/vob from media center, check this thread for links to more info: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=4383814

sorry i could not understand clearly what you are asking here. by the way, there is no modchip that makes a 360 do the sorts of things an xbox1 can do.

I miss-spoke- I backed up a copy of a retail DVD, to my PC then took those files and burnt them to a blank DVD-R, and i was asking if i needed to mod my xbox360 to play the back up? if this is not possable then, say so. but i also have a modded xbox 1...can that system play the backup or is there more mods that needs to be done to my xbox 1, or is that also not possibe?

so then it will work. it will play burnt DVD's with or without a mod
