hi when i used my hd cable on newly soft moded xbox with xbmc and 40gb hard drive the screen turns green but when i go back to the standert cable it works fine help want hd please

It sounds as though you're connecting the HD cable to an RGB monitor, or to RGB inputs on your TV. The Xbox natively outputs YPbPr, so you need to either connect your HD cable to a YPbPr input on your TV, or convert your Xbox to output VGA/RGB. You can do that with Frosty and Xman954's VGA boot disc, a VGA BIOS, or a VGA softmod (either a dedicated one, or turning on VGA on Krayzie or Kingroach). Note that you can't do any of those with a 1.6 - with a 1.6 your only option is to connect to a YPbPr port on your TV.
