i need to know how i can flash my xbox tsop without seeing what is on the screen. i am very limited on cd's, however i do already have slayers 2.7 if that helps. but it wont let me telnet or ftp i've already tried. what should i do?

you could try a eurasia disc

is the xbox currently modded? how are you trying to telnet/ftp?

there a lots of ways to flash blind, even as simple as just memorizing the buttons you need to press to navigate a set of menus

xbox is already modded, as i can get my slayers disc loaded, which has a modified evox.ini to have a static ip of 192.168.0.2 and i am able to successfully ping it. i use filezilla for ftp and have never had problems with it except for with this slayers live cd. windows telnet on slayer gives me a blank screen, a different live evox cd i have says "RemoteX Telnet Server V1.0" however all my commands are completely useless.
i looked into the eurasia flash disc but it seems i will need to see the screen to use it according to the readme, since i need to switch discs at a certain time

my mod is not a chip, it is softmodded 80gb hdd with a soldered tsop which i have successfully flashed with ind-bios several times. i am not going to buy a mod chip. my tsop is 256k i've forgotten the version of my xbox but i had only 2 points to solder..i believe the tsop brand was similar to hynix?...

i've just found out that telnet is for making trainers, is why it is useless to me =/
i've looked into gentoo's rescoox, however once again it looks like there is lots of room for error if im trying to go blind..

well to flash via telnet you use a linux/raincoat app, not evox, but eurasia will still be the best bet IMO, it will eject the cd tray when it needs the other cd so youll know

you could also just memorize the menu of your slayers cd to navigate it (ive done that before)

just out of curiosity, is there any particular reason you dont have a TV screen? you must have an AV pack for the softmod, if its a matter of network you dont need to be networked to flash, you should be able to flash right from your slayers cd via the onscreen menu

on my ind-bios i tried to shut off the startup flubber and the x screen so that it goes straight to xbmc, but then my tv stays blank..i know the xbox still loads right because i can find its ip in my lan. i need to reflash it with the startup flubber and x screen enabled again.
and this eurasia disc, is it completel automated or does it require input? if it does, does it have support for telnet?
i dont feel like searching for 2 cds to waste on an experiment..
lordvader129
its completely automated

and IIRC you can telnet in and flash manually via raincoat

it worked perfectly. on the second attempt anyway, first time the dvd never ejected itself even though the led was orange..
thanks a bunch
