hi i have a wii with a cyclowiz chip fitted and also with homebrew installed all was working fine till my son put the new game the conduit in the wii and it said system up date in the disk box were you clik to load the game so he updated and now all i get when i switch on the wii is a black screen the wii switches on and off if you hold the power button in and will take and eject disk ok but nothing else please can anyone help thanks

Not sure with chips, but with softmods, updates are a BIG no-no

Again, not sure with chips, but when you do a no-no with a softmod, you have multiple backdoors into the system to fix the damage done (preloader, bootmii, etc).

Hopefully your chip has the same capability, but you should be aware of it if so.
