I am working on a Gears of War 360 and am having a problem with the Samsung Drive. It will eject properly when there is a disc in the console, but when there is not a disc in the console, the magnet gets stuck and the drive will not eject. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

strike the dvd drive inwards when you want to eject it.. should eject right away.
The rubber band is dirty, you need to disassemble the drive and clean it.

Bear in mind that OEM Samsungs are now almost 3.5yrs old, after this time the rubber may be slipping but its more likley to be the disk tray eject motor wearing out and not able to turn as hard. Of course try cleaning the rubber belt with isopropyl alcohol. I have found that if I have spares then I will replace the motor and it again ejects fine with no disk in the tray.
Magnets last longer than motors

im actually flashing one of these atm and i found that its not the motor nor band, under the drive tray youll see there is a + shape piece of plastic on the bottom of the tray that actually catches on the wheel that the band spins round (bigger of the two wheels) thats y when you tap the drive its comes free!
