This is what happened when I tried to play a backup of Left 4 Dead on my Xbox 360 I firmware flashed. I couldn't even move in any direction and when I'd shoot, red X's would fly everywhere. Anybody know what the problem is? And would it be a game problem correct? Not a firmware Flashed problem?

Try the orignal disk, Could just be a bad backup. Also check that you dont have the child mode thing set on the xbox where it removes blood and stuff.
If it isnt that then theres something wrong with the gpu.

It's not the gpu.
The gpu would not make red x's
Honestly it looks like the pc version with missing textures or a strange mod...but if you say it is the 360 on the tv, then so be it.
Strange, though. never seen that one before. I know I had a bad burn of Portal for pc and some crap showed up as red x's on the screen...just thought.

Portal runs on the same engine as Left 4 Dead. Is that your DVD-ROM grinding so loud in the background? If so, try installing the game on your HDD, assuming you have one.
