Hi,

It's been a while, since I kept pace with what's happening on the 360 front. My first console 360 pro(xenon) died on me last year with the RROD.

I'm finally up to buying a new one and needed some valuable inputs from those following the improvements being made by microsoft on the hardware front.

1) Is RROD still a problem in jasper chipsets?

2) I would like to know whether the new jasper chipsets are available in the pro & elite models as well.
I have heard that most late 2008/2009 arcade models are all running on jasper chipsets. As I have a 20gb hd from my previous console and hdmi cables are pretty cheap, I can go down the route of picking up a new arcade.

However, would not mind picking up an elite if they are available on jasper chipsets.

Any inputs/other suggestions on arcade vs elite are welcome.
I'm going to pick it up in a couple of hours. Would love to get some fast responses.

They still get rrod but are way less likely due to running much cooler with the smaller chips and the best heatsinks.

Yes you can find it in the pro and elites but you are less likely because most theres are still old stock.
So a arcade is best + it comes with internal memory unit.

Also they if you get a jun 09 one it will have the new 83850c drive with doesnt need probe to mod.
