cd-r's? good luck getting those to read on your xbox...
hahaha...

try using cd-rw's instead...
they should work, well they work for me...

what dvd drive is in your xbox??
Dooms_Day
I have no idea what DVD-Rom I have, I'm going to be taking it apart tonight to solder the jumpers to rewrite the bios so I'll check while I'm in there. I think that it is a v1.1 Xbox if that might help.

Nobody seems to believe me when I say my xbox runs CD-Rs

Unless my cicero (cheapass brand) of blank cdr's are magical and love my xbox, then my xbox is just lucky.

Anyways - make sure you're using cdrw's... unless you're using a 1.1 made in december. right beside mine on the production line. ......Yeah.

just upgrade your drive.................or...............buy a cd player

You damn freaks! This has been said about 10billion times. There's 3 dvd-roms, thomson(doenst read shit might as well pour battery acid on it if you have one of these),phillips(bah!), and the best Samsung( slap your mamma in the mouth if you've got one of these, because it reads everything). You can find some more info if you do a search.

so what i always use platinum cds befor i mod my xbox my xbox played music cds but after i mod it i tryed a platinum cd with xbox data my xbox wont boot it. but audio was no problem. i tweaked the lens and the cd booted but the point a wanted to make was that some cdr will work in the dvd (philips, i know because i have one). but this can be because i burned them in nero. a friend of my his car radio don`t like cd that are burned in nero only clonecds work perfect in his care and this are the same cds it my be just the program that is burned in. so other way of writing the iso (9000 something) norm
