- I have the august 11 update, so i tried the new "display discovery" option from the video options.
- After that i got a black screen, i have sound but no video.
- I've searched everywhere and it seems everything i have to do is disable it, but i can't since i can't see a damn thing.

But i still can hear the dashboard sound effects, so:

What i need is that someone with the latest update could guide me or upload screenshots so i could know if it's the first option or last, if i have to say yes or no,etc.

Pleaseee i'm getting crazy over here.

I fixed it with the help of a friend's 360. you can erase the thread now

So what did you do? Im having the same problem now... already did the x-clamp fix 2-3 months ago, now when i boot it up i have sound but no picture

I dunno what the x-clamp fix is. Maybe your problem is different.
Anyway what i did is i brought my friend's 360 (which had the update) and i memorized the menus.
Then listening to the dashboard sound effects as was able to disable the dysplay discovery option (practically blindfolded)
