Cpasjuste released the first public version of Xmenu for the free60 XeLL JTAG hack. It's a GUI .ELF Loader (a basic dashboard if you want) that can be used to load other libxenon homebrew software on your Xbox 360.
From the readme/nfo:
Xmenu 0.3 Xmenu is an elf loader with a basic gui.
Installation Copy the file xenon.elf and the "xenon" folder to the root of your usb disk/pen. Load it with the free60.org hack.
Changelog Version 0.3 : - It's now possible to load custom icons. Put a ".png" image (32 bits, with alpha channel, 32*32 pixels would be better) alongside your executable file, with the ".ico" extension. Example : If you have an executable named "snes9x.elf", put the ".png" icon in the same directory with the name "snes9x.ico". Version 0.2 : - Graphics data is now loaded at startup, allowing to customise. - Smaller fonts, this allow more items to be displayed. Version 0.1 : - Alpha testing version.
is anyone else getting flaky wireless controller support?
mine works fine for like a minute and then just stops working altogether the only way to fix it is to reboot and then re sync the controller.. tried a second controller and new batteries and same thing happens ... works fine with snes emu.. just this app is flaky.

So am i getting this whole thing right? it is no possible to run homebrew on the 360 even if you have already updated to the newest kernel (that is if you have an "old" 360).
My last knowledge of "Downgrading" is, that you still need to know you cpu key, which you can not get with the new kernel.
Correct me if i am wrong: Downgrade or loading a kernel which supports homebrew is now possible even if you have upgradet to the newest and don`t have the CPU key?
Sorry for stupid questions but i got a little konfused here ;-)

NO everything stays the same as it was. If you updated your console your out of luck.

alternate soldering points would be nice for those of us who don't have xenons

it just sux that all these hacks are for xenon only but still good work but we need to be finding alternate methods for enabling homebrew on the lastest kernel

Thats where you guys are all thinking wrong. We dont need to find the alternative points but we need to wait for a compatible xell. They promised they will release alternative points so have a little bit of patience. These guys are doing a fantastic job so show some respect!

Each passing day I wish I didn't get rid of my broken xenon, My falcon just e74'ed on me and I need to get another xbox live box. I love the very quick progression on the 360 homebrew xenon or not. This has been long overdue and I hope more programmers/modders more advanced than I dust off the tools from the Xbox1 days and get a thriving community again! I still have a few questions though...
Since all the code is written in linux will this be more of a challenge then it would be with Xex code? Granted its dependent on the xell libraries but it would be nice to get some more clarification on that.
Given that its "safer" to use xell code than xex code would it still be possible to run unsigned xex code?
Would networking be possible for xell in the future such as FTP?
Would future xbox 360 board hacks require completely different code from a xenon?

Can anybody PM me the email address of Cpasjuste? I couldn't find it on the website. I have a few dusty 360's that need to be donated to this cause.

Very nice guys, I still have my old Xenon around and working

I love the progress

Shame I bought a Infectus chip + CPU Time Attack board, good thing it has the old firmware that still allows the downgrade. I've not installed the Infectus yet. What about the Cygnos360 V2.0? Any recommendation on what do to?
Thanks

Just use the infectus. Fine for flashing the nand (its what i us), bonus being its much faster than the LPT flash method.
