So i bought a duox 2 modchip (white one) and installed it in the xbox. When i turn it on with the bank set to 0, the cromwell screen comes up fine and also the chip is flashing red. When i put the eurasia disk in, the screen doesnt change, it stays on the same screen it first gave me. It stays on the same screen even if i put a bios disc in. And i am using a CDRW and burning it in the slowest speed.
If I start the xbox in bank 1 (flashbios), the screen is just blank. nothing comes up.
Can someone help me as to what i should do?
thanks in advance.

When the Cromwell Flash bios page comes up, does it also list the boot choices?
Usually cd-rom (hdb), hard drive, ethernet.
Are you choosing cd-rom?
Also, have you tried burning to different media DVD+R, DVD-R, etc?
While CDRW's generally work, if you're using crappy media your dvd-rom drive might be finicky.

Yeah i choose cd-rom. I tried both CDRW and DVD-R. Both are giving the same results. It says press A to open the cd drive. And i put it in and i press A again to close it. And it just freezes there. Doesnt go anywhere else.

Did you get your copy of the Eurasia disc off of #xbins?
Also are you using an official MS controller? Its been a while but I remember cromwell having issues with 3rd party controllers.
Did the image you downloaded include a dummy file? Sometimes its necessary to have one in order to boot the Eurasia disc.

i used a eurasia disc. and it ended up working. it started linux. and after i put in the bios disk, it says it cant find the bios. the bios disk includes the bios.bin and dummy50mb files. i tried many times and it doesnt find any bios.bin file. what else can i do?

Maybe when you created the disc w/ the bios filed with dummy file you should of left off the .bin. It's reading the bios file as bios.bin.bin instead of bios.bin. Get it, so just take off the .bin on the file(it already knows its a bin file) and save it again, than recreate the bios disc. I did the same thing the first time I did this as well. Hopefully that's the problem.
I hope that makes sense.

eurasia is really finicky when it comes to disc loading.
do not manually eject or push the tray in
when using eurasia, it will open the tray for you, then it will wait a little bit, and it will close the tray for you.
if you don't let it do this, it will not work correctly.
