I am currently using a WD1200BEVS and have purchased a 2500BEVS in anticipation of the new hard drive.

Can I simply copy the contents of my current drive to the 250GB drive, since the 120 .bin file is still the only one available at this point? What would be the easiest course of action at this point?

Yeah you can do this. copy the data to your hard drive like you would normally or your could backup the whole image (I wouldnt) and then after prepping the 250 back with 120hddss.bin put it back on
