I just moved and during the move my halo 3 disc got a giant scratch in it. The game won't load and trying to install the game to the hdd fails at 45%.
I downloaded a copy of halo 3 from usenet but can't seem to find a way to copy it over. I just want the game installed on the xbox 360 so then i can use my scratched disc to verify ownership and just play off the hdd.
Is there any pc utiltiy to let me achieve this without a modded xbox?

piracy isn't tolerated here. downloading 360 games is illegal
Just go rent it, install to hdd and play with your scrached disk
