I got the dreaded 3 red ring of death, so i did the xclamp repair, exactly how its supposed to be done,

and when i plugged the 360 back in the 2 red lights flashed and the xbox fans spun at full speed for 10 seconds then the xbox shut off and just flashed 2 red rings,


how can i fix this?

2 lights means it's overheating. Which tutorial did you follow? I noticed that some of them instruct you to use the wrong number of washers to space the heatsink away from the motherboard and if there are too many then the heatsink wont touch the GPU and it'll pretty much instantly overheat. How many washers did you use for each bolt? How thick is each washer?

Also-- what kind of thermal paste did you use for reassembly?

Lastly-- did you follow the stupid step where they instruct you to overheat your GPU? Some tutorials instruct you to follow the X-clamp fix with the towel trick. The towel trick is retarded and should never be used in my opinion, unless of course you've exhausted all other possibilities and it's the last step before throwing it away.
