Hi.
Before going into detail, let me explain the drive model I have. It is a TS-H943A with F/W=ms25.

Now im not sure if this is note worthy, but next to part number theres a sticker changing the last 3 digits to 019?

Anyways, i power the drive using the CK3 lite, and i have a sata port going straight into my motherboard. Never had any problems before might i add. And I've done many, many dvd drives.

Since the drive says its a ms25, i assume the latest version of jungle flasher would just work doing the intro/device id. Apparently not. It fails. But Jungleflasher reads it as a ms28.
Which shouldn't be much of a problem either. So i send sammy unlock, and it works.
But when i read the key and save the bin. I get all 00000's. (bad key) No matter what method i use. I get a bad key. Whether I'm under windows xp or windows 7.... bad key.

And the latest version of iprep gives me a error when i try to load the latest firmware into it.

Honestly, I'm just trying to get this "simple" drive modded and be on my way. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You,

Chris

if you have used unlock sammy which can offset your key,and it will remain hidden from jf and firmware toolbox ,you will have to manually retreive it using a hex editor,so open the dumped original firmware with a hex editor and look for it at the different key positions.now your next problem is getting your drive into vendor mode.
intro/device id utilises the vcc trick which will only work for via/nforce chipsets, if you have a other chipset then a activate iso disc may be required to vendor mode the drive then flash with your new modified firmware.
