blink.gif I have been trying to burn Evolution X Dashboard 1.8.3285 for the last 3 hours and can't seem to get it right. This is what I have been doing:

1. I have downloaded EvolutionX_beta_v1.8.3285. Beacuse it was a .rar file I had to download the program to open it.

2. The following files were in the download
a. Bios folder with Evox D.6 eject fix & Evox D.6.bin
b. Skins folder with a whole bunch of files in it
c. Default.xbe
d.Evox.ini

3. I'm using xISO v110 to make the ISO file. The problem I have is that I hit the "save" to burn the xISO. It goes really quick, less than 2 seconds and it says "end of the image creation". I am suppose to get a new box that pops up and say "the image was created correctly" and hit OK. But it never comes up. I went through 3 different tutorials and still have the same problem. Someone please explain what I am doing wrong.

edit: just use GDFimage.exe, much easier smile.gif

use xboxisotool and burn with nero...

LOL, oh please. Use SimpleX to make your XISO files, its by far the best tool there is out there, and unlike GDFimage, SimpleX wont rape your system of resources.

I believe this just makes a UDF image, which effectively removes half of the two advantages of using UDF at all, that advantage being that you can burn straight from the game files instead of meaking non-FAT32-compliant images.

I definitely recommend SimpleX or Craxtion (which utilizes Ximage, SimpleX's ISO creation core).

Thanks for all the help. Will try it when I get back from work. I was just wondering why Evolution X is in a .rar format?

Also, Is this SimpleX a program I can download/purchase? Or it is a designated program for burning the Xbox ISO?

SimpleX is available for a free download on the XS main page.

Thanks, I found the SimpleX ISO program smile.gif. Now just have to find a tutorial for it and then I'm off to the races, again biggrin.gif

No tutorial. Just click "make an iso", find the folder where the contents are, click ok, select where you want the iso saved, then use nero at slowest speed to burn the iso. Its very simple (no pun intended)

Thanks, will give it a try tonight. Hopefully it goes better than the xISO program. tongue.gif
