just need some basic help please ,


if i update a ws 250gb bevt hdd with the 250gb hdss bin file from the forum , will hddhacker do everything on its own , making the partations etc .

and then i just have to format the hdd in xbox 360 .

i am geting a 250gb wd hdd tommorow which is supported by hddhacker , all i have to do s to type hdhacker at the command prompt and it will do the rest on its own make the partations and format the hdd .

or do i have to format the hdd my self once i hook it to the xbox.


also some ppl say that after firmware update the hdd tends to think its fugitsu hdd , whats with this please can u guys show me a tutorial .

is newegg selling the wd 250gb bevs? i see some on there but not sure if they are the correct model(s) to use? link to the ones that will work would be appreciated.

Didn't see em on there when I was buying my 160, but Amazon has them I'm pretty sure.

yes, hddhackr 1.22 builds the partitions for you, (at least it did on my 120gb model) so when i plugged it in to my xbox360 it worked right away without having to format the thing.

I think the only thing you have to worry about with a fresh hard drive is backwards compatibility, which is on one of the partitions... but here's a link to download the update that rewrites that particular partition.

yes the hddhackr program works by tricking the xbox into thinking that it's a fujitsu Hard Drive
