will the RawSS be different everytime you rip the same game, everything else checks out.

SS CRC = same (RawSS = different) on my second rip of the same wave 4 game once with s360xa and the other time with xbc

well i ripped the game a third time with s360xa, again and i get the same crc and rawss as the second time i ripped the game, could this be a problem with the xbc not ripping wave 4 correctly?

Yes the RawSS will be different witch is ok

Something just came to my attention when looking through Abgx360 about the Kreon rips thanks again the info just don't stop, just use your x360 drive and not a Kreon to be on the safe side if you got one, 0800 or 1.61 with 0800 there should be no problems backing up your games that's if the program is up to date.

Xplorer360 For 250gb Drives

Notes For Upgrading From A 20gig To A 120gig Drive

Tutorial For Upgrading any 20, 60, 120 to the 250GB Edition as long as you got that hdd.bin file.

Now what I did first was to use Hddhackr to Flash my WD2500BEKT after I had my 250bg hdd.bin and backed up my FW that was on the WD2500BEKT witch I name undo.bin then after ran hddhackr again to see if the drive was falshed with the 250 hdd.bin so everything went ok. Type hddhackr.exe /? hit enter it should show a list of commands Run Partition command well it'll asked you when your flashing to Create a Partition say YES but just do it over your self to make sure, remember get that undo.bin file off the floppy after you backed it up the WD2500BEKT not your x360 HDD the one you got off Newegg or where ever you got it.

ok now format it in your x360 now here come the fun part play with the devil I put everything back in my x360 that's Original drive Original Game witch I installed to the HDD after it was Formatted then ran the Xbox Live update the version was 8955 and everything turn out Great! not that I'm going online with that HDD every again. Xbox1, Original x360 Games and my backup games all played fine. I also downloaded the update from M$ site Fall8955 and the Original Xbox Game Support November 2007 witch I installed after I installed a Original game to the HDD then Ran Xbox Live to get the 8955 witch you shouldn't have to do if you downloaded from the site. hope the info helps out if your planing to upgrade your HDD Enjoy!

If you want to move files from one drive to the other you going to need Xplorer. I did move the Partition but didn't have any luck with it so that's why I just downloaded Original Xbox Game Support November 2007 for my Xbox1 Games.

Call me retarded but ive tried everything exept buying a new stuff, and I just cant get anything to work, I have an I/O magic dvd burner.. only thing I can buy were I live, and a modded xbox I got from a friend, I know plays burned games becouse he gave me a few with the system, I have no idea what the xbox was modded with however, and ive tried about 4 different programs and followed tons of step by step guides but nuthing works, I finally got it so that it will burn, but when I try to play it the xbox reads it as a dvd, and pops up the xbox image, and if you press buttons on the controller it just brings up a menu with like stop play rewind... movie stuff.
Found your guide and got exited but.... I still cant make backups... all the drive stuff cunfused me so i just egnored it intell the xbox backup creater part but the options in your guide that you click on to rip are greyed out for me...
Like I said im prolly just bieng retarded trying to do this and I am completly clueless, ive spent about $200 dollars so far "attempting" to burn 360 games, and 10 dl disks.....

The new games want to force disc update and is there anyway to block ?

Yes and No

$SystemUpdate Fall09 8955 was the last update I can think of because I don't go online anymore after I got my 250GB HDD working I just stopped going online but there might be a new update coming, I was reading this on X-S News when I can't remember. On the disc when exploring it you should see a folder name $systemupdate$ something like this $ means its hide same thing with networking and shared folders on your PC. You shouldn't have any problems updating from the disc if you can't install it from the disc there is a way to remove it, but when you do remove the $systemupdate$ there won't be anyway to play that new game because it needs that update to play, you could Patch the game but this forum don't talk about it.

We only allow discussion on backups made in totality by you, and with all components coming from your original and for that you need a x360 with iX v1.61 or iX v1.6 0800. As such, you will be able to do complete backups, no need to download/fix or Extract/Rebuild anything with Online DB. Also DO NOT Patch any of your games with PPF I think it's called. Sorry but anything after this would be breaking the Rules Sorry besides if I add to be extracting ISO files and rebuilding them I would easily sell everything, so much work to be finishing up hope I helped a bit Sorry again Xmas.

That I can't tell you but if your x360 got Banned and don't have a backup of your NAND to restore your HDD functions to install Games I don't think you going to be able to installing any Original Xbox Game Support November 2007 on your Hard Disk Drive. I installed Original Xbox Game Support after I put together my 250GB HDD but failed to paly Xbox 1 games, so I put everything back in my console that was Original besides the 250GB HDD that I hacked and download the Fall09 8955 update over Live then I could play a xbox1 game. Not all my xbox1 games, just the ones on there list from x360 website. You could download the update from there website then burn it to a CD. The update was 87MB is size ya I know after I found the link from this forum because on x360 website I couldn't fine it. Where is the link to the update I can't remember if you look hard by doing a Search on this forum you should fine it. Xmas

I have a question.
Let's say I have working ISO backup of a game and then I burn it to a DL (working with firmware 1.61)
At some point I lose the ISO and I wish to make another ISO from the already burned copy.
Will it work? Will the new created ISO inherit the same properties as the ISO from which the disk was originally burned from?

I've followed all your steps and such, while stealth checking it is saying my "Video PFI Match:" Failed, but everything else passed, is this normal due to the new waves?

Hi, I have a couple of questions about backing up the newer games. First of all, let me say, I haven't gotten a game in quite a while, and now I have a couple of newer games, and was wondering precisely what I myself need to do in order to make working backups of these games.

First of all, I have a Liteon in my xbox, and it's flasehed to I think 1.5 or 1.51 (I can't exactly remember) I understand that I need to flash that to the latest, that's not an issue. I have also purchased a seperate Xbox 360 drive to rip the disks with, and it is a BenQ VAD 6038 (I chose that drive because of the ease of flashing firmware).

I have a couple of questions, and I do apologize if I'm asking too much, but I haven't had a new game in quite a while, and now that I do, I really need to work on backing them up so I don't wear out my original copies. First of all, what exactly do I need to flash both of these drives with?

Second of all, I recently built a new machine, and it contains Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have read that XP_64 is not what to use with Jungle flasher, is 7 any different? If not, it is no big deal, my plans are to format and re-install XP_32 on the old machine and use it for things such as this.

I wish I hadn't been out of the 360 scene for so long, I wouldn't be having this trouble, and I do appreciate any and all help that I can get.

You purchased a second Xbox 360 drive to rip the disks with, witch is BenQ VAD 6038 flash that with 0800 firmware using JungleFlasher . Download Schtrom360 Xtract S360X v4.1 or Xbox Backup Creator, Schtrom360 Xtract S360X v4.1 would be best for copying higher Waves because Redline99 needs to updated Xbox Backup Creator Where are you Redline99? There are two versions of Firmware one for playing your game's and ix16-0800 being a dedicated "ripping" drive Only. What IS "Wave 4"

What to do then Future Waves come out?

If your drive is flashed with a older version of firmware that only supports Wave 4 or Wave 5 a updated maybe needed to play future games example: Red Dead Redemption is Wave 6 and if your x360 drive is flashed with say Team HyperX iXtreme 1.61 FW that got Strict Wave 4 compliance means wave 4 games will only boot if they have correct PFI/DMI/SS etc that game might not boot at all.

If the game do manage to boot what about the $systemupdate$ that got to be applied to play the game this can leaded to The Ban Hammer if you ever go online again, because Microsoft can detect older versions of firmware so you should update the x360 drive before applying system updates. Remember if your x360 can do Waveless booting and don't care for online you may get away with it, but I wouldn't go back online.

OK, having a little bit of trouble here with the benq drive. I flashed it with ix16-0800, and I assume everything went ok, it reported as being ok, yet, it is not seen in Windows or in Schtrom. Is there anything special I need to do to make this happen? Or have I missed something?

I two had this problem after flashing my Benq drive with ix16-0800 and it reported as being ok in JF, but it wouldn't show up in Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom360 Xtract this can easily be fixed by going to your Device Manager.

1. Power down your PC hookup the SATA Cable and Power Connector to the x360 drive but don't apply power to the drive just yet and fire up your Computer.

2. goto Start/Orb Click Run or Windows Key + R to open Run Type Devmgmt.msc

3. Now that the Device Manager is open Right Click the little Computer icon/Comptuer Name and then Scan for Hardware Changes.

4. Power on the x360 drive and Press Eject to open the drive as it can hang with a loading icon. Then Right Click the little Computer icon/Comptuer Name in Device Manager again and Scan for Hardware Changes.

5. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives in the Device Manager to see if the x360 is detected. When done backing up your games Power down the drive and Scan for Hardware Changes again then Power down your Computer and disconnect the x360 drive.

If the problem continues and your notable to detect your drive try Flashing it again with JF and make sure it reports as Ok in the Running Log in JungleFlasher. The Benq/T-Samsung/LiteOn x360 drives can be flashed with ix16-0800 Firmware, The ix16-0800 is a dedicated "ripping" Firmware Only, Not to play games on. I Recommend you get two drives one for Ripping and one for playing game's or use the one in your x360 but you need that DVDKey from your Original drive before flashing any x360 drive with iXtreme to play Backup Game's. Hope this Helps

I have been hearing from people if you use xbox backup creater to rip any game that is ssv2 onwards it will only rip it as ssv1 even if using a 0800 firmware drive is this true?

If you get Errors when Ripping with Xbox backup Creator you may need Schtrom360Xtract because it needs updating. XBCr can Rip everything From Sep/Oct 2009 back including Original Xbox Games Xbox-scene.com/News.

Looks like the only right way to rip games are with 0800 firmware and Schtrom360Xtract from what I can see. Have a look in Xbox360 Tools.

PhoneyVirus, I would like to thank you for the great tutorial that you put out. I modded my 360 a long while back and because of your tute and a little reading (C4, etc.) I was able to -reflash my box with the latest flash, reflash a spare Sammy that I now use for backups as my Kreon is NO longer valid and "fix" all of my backups with ABGX! Which is the better game "ripper" for backups? Benq, HT or Sammy? or is there no difference?

Is it possible to make backups of games you already have, without flashing your xbox? i just want to backup because my games are getting scratched. Also flashing would be a little more difficult for me as i have an Xbox 360 250G Slim.

I have a probably stupid question about playing bad backups on LIVE. Why exectly do you get banned from LIVE? Can it be from playing singleplayer on a LIVE profile or do you actually have to play multiplayer on LIVE?

Can you add a bit more to your FAQ phoneyvirus please as to how you can use XBC With blaster CK3 and X360USB PRO together. If you can do this to backup?

First off, I am a noob don't have hacking skills. Please bare with me for posting where I shouldn't be. But my reply to the answer of the question I will probably be in the right place. I am inerested in learning about hacking, for the knowledge and challenge of it, but I pay for all of the media I use

1) How closely are these forums monitored, by MS?
2) Have people actually gotten in trouble, ever like the people that uploaded the Exper1ence kio$k discs?
3) Possibly a long time forum member would like to privatly contact me and advise me quickly on some stuff that may be of interest
