i was wondering what authoring and mastering meant?

also wouldn't each disc of the same game have different timestamps time wise?(i mean if one goes and buys 2 copyies of the same game shouldnt the timestamps be different? or should they be the same?)

basically im trying to figure out if ms can just see everyone that pirates games because they're all playing a game with the same timestamps?

though what im trying to find out behind all this is, is it even safe to play homemade backups?

depends what you think is safe.. playing them in general? yes of course

on live? never safe your always taking a risk...

timestamps are irrelevant, its something that is shown in the code from when the game is published and developed from the company who makes it... or publishes it, smile.gif

timestamps just mean basically when the file was generated

when you buy a new game

two months later it might be a updated revision.. ya? pop.gif
