I just need a simple question answered please.

I have an Intel ICH9M m-e family 4 Port Sata ACHI controller

It is an eSata port located on the side of my laptop. I ordered a cable to connect the female SATA port on my Xbox's Samsung drive to the eSATA port on my laptop. The only difference is shape so I am hoping it will work well.

Will this port work for flashing my firmware? Thanks. smile.gif

The only reason I ask is because a young kid on youtoob said "The holes that came with you computer will not work YOU NEED TO BUY THIS ONE" Literally shouting and very annoying.

Assuming that it is using the intel controller, and not a USB>eSATA bridge, or other internal chipset (I'd imagine it will be using the Intel so biggrin.gif) It will work perfectly fine with most available tools. Power it from a connectivity kit though to avoid the dreaded ban hammer.
