Ok I've got two systems. A Xenon that just got banned and a Falcon that is not banned. My mom has a Jasper. She doesn't use live and will let me swap my Xenon for her Jasper as long as the banned system will still play divx files and such. The hard drive from the Xenon was not attached when it got banned. So will I be able to copy my profile to her hard drive along with the divx codec or will I have to give her my hard drive and take her's while just swapping out the saves? The Jasper has 512MB built in and I've got a 512 memory unit on the way. I just got her the hard drive so i don't even think her hard drive has been used yet.

the optinal media update is tied to console and GT (i think). what you may try is leaving your GT on the banned console and let her watch movies under you tag then you could hock up the unbanned console and recover your GT. the tag should be on both since the banned console will not be connect to the net. she will not be able to watch divx under her tag. the xbox will say it needs to connect to get the update. all of this is assuming you have already downloaded the media update on your banned console with your GT. i dont know the info i gave you to be true but that is what i would try.
