i know this is probably a long shot but here goes. I've got two consoles that just got banned and one that hasn't been banned. The non-banned system has been on live twice. Once to get the divx codec and once to get an arcade game. No games have ever been played on live. Would it be safe for me to revert this console to a stock firmware? It has a Lite-On 74850c in it but I've got other drives lying around. Would it be safe to take the key from the unbanned system and stick it in a stock firmware and spoof a benq or samsung as the lite-on?

I'm in exactly the same situation. My new xbox with a liteon 83 was modded hours before I heard of the ban tsunami. It hasn't been on live yet and I have a benq drive from a banned box which is flashed back to original firmware with my liteon's drive key.
Does anybody know if we're asking for a ban using original benq or samsung firmware but a liteon key?
