So I have been reading/watching a lot about Borderlands on the net. It looked pretty awesome, so when I went to get my MW2 preorder, I figured I would pick up BL as well.
I did. EB had a used copy for 64.99 so I got that one.
Got home, realized how awesome the game is, and played it for like 4 hours. Played CODMW2 for a bit, thought meh, same old, and put it on the shelf.
Then it dawned on me. Because I was too cheap to pay the extra 5 bucks, I may has well have pirated the game. The devs get nothing for their hard work, and the publisher doesn't see my sale. Thus, when the number crunching time comes around, my sale won't be taken into account for a possible sequel. Just like piracy.
I am going to see if I can take it back and get a real copy to cure my concience... sad.gif

Anyone else on here have BL? I'm not extremely far into it yet if someone wants to join

Curious. 65 bucks for a used game? You not in the US?

PS Look up why never to trade/buy at game stop on google, should be a long ass diatribe on you tube about them punks and how they launder games.

Well maybe the programmers did not benefit. But the environment did! think of it as recycling haha. I'm no recycling freak but its another way to look at it. Besides i think even with piracy and used sales, new games like halo 3 and COD are bringing these guys millions of dollars. I refuse to pay 60$ for a new video game. Its ridiculous.

This game isn't as well known as Halo or Call of Duty though. Borderlands is pretty different and was sort of a gamble by 2K Games. If it doesn't sell well there will not be another one
