Hello,

I have got a new console from Australia Repair Center.(it's basically a refurbished one i think) (or new I'm not sure)

It has Yellow Colour Wire I.e Liteon Drive.

The console has been successfully flashed.

It has Hard Drive Removed, I inserted "Assasins Creed 2" Game, Then the game booted fine.

I inserted the HDD & Then i inserted the DVD. It says

" An update is required....Bla bla" , I've said YES!

It's updated & console restarted. Then again " An update is required for the console.....bla bla" same thing.

I've did it 3-4 times. Still nothing. But boots up fine without HDD.

I've tried Halo 3 ODST, Smackdown VS Raw 2010 , They work just PERFECT with HDD.

Any Suggestions? If it's a game issue, Most probably it should not boot without hdd but it does.

Please suggest guys!

I can save & Everything fine with other games sad.gif

EDIT:

If I'm not wrong, It requires New Dashboard update. Can anyone help me out with this? Is there some way to skip it?

Do you recommend updating to new dashboard(I don't want to connect through LIVE) But, If possible an offline update through USB.

Does, Anyone have any suggestion?

sounds like the game has been patched.

First, check your Assassin's Creed 2 disc. I remember reading that if you patch a backup with a video partition of a different wave, the game will require an update, but the patched partition won't have it, so it'll go in a loop of needing it and not having it.

If that doesn't work, search xbox.com for how to update your dashboard without connecting to Live. I know they have files you can download to put on a CD-R or a USB flash drive to upgrade.

Update:

I have updated my dashboard offline, yes it works fine now.

But I've got an issue with the game. I wonder. If anyone can sort it out that would be great.
