My friend has been banned recently, I haven't. Can his Console still use System link, and is it safe for me to System link with his console without his ban somehow affecting my console?


Also, since I'm curious.. from what he's been saying, apparently he's still gaining achievements, and the save files he's tried aren't corrupted or anything.. I thought the HDD was crippled and the Profile corrupted?

sure i do it with 2 consoles 1 ban 1 not...but if it ain't room to room ...the ping allowed is 30ms max..so if your slower then that...good luck on connecting.....we can thank M$ for that fix

Saved games and profiles are only corrupt on other consoles - a banned console can use profiles, gain achievements, and save games just fine. And the HDD is only crippled by being unable to have games installed to it on the banned console. Any other use is fine.

Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to make sure his ban wouldn't somehow 'spread' to my console, thinking on it now it was a bit too paranoid of a question.
