Hi everyone. My console is an old Xenon, kernel 2858, never plugged a ethernet cable, old hitachi firmware, played 4 games only, and the latest was Gears of War 1. Las time turned on must have been in 1 year at least.
Iīve been following the scene for some years, reading everytime the news, but, the truth is, now that I want to make my console able to homebrew and to XBRebooter, Iīm kind of lost of what to do first... So... correct me in what Iīm wrong...
First of all, do I need to remove RT6? I read different opinions so far, but nowadays, would it be recommended to remove it or to keep it? Is still needed for the (my) console be upgraded to kernel 4532 in order for the jtag setup/exploit work? Or it could be done in my 2858 kernel?
Second, I think the SMC/Jtag setup would be a better way to read the NAND. Personally, I donīt need Linux right now, donīt know how to use it. But do I need Linux to get my CPU key, DVD key, Keyvault, etc? I mean, do I really need to use a Xell-hacked NAND in order to get them, or today, is there any other way to perform it?
Third, only then I would be able to use XBreboot? Is the Jtag setup needed everytime to change different, future versions of the Xbreboot ? Or could I install XBReboot without the Xell part.
Fourth, is a dual-XD nand, or cygnus, needed, or with the Jtag setup everything can be accomplished the same way? Even if itīs slower....
Could it be reversed, if I wanted? I mean, could I flash back my original NAND, in case something goes wrong?
I read a lot of tutorials, but most of them awere done before the rebooters appeared.... so Iīd like to know if somethingīs changed and if itīs the right path for me to follow
Thanks
