so my g/f's dad has the original big bulky black box and error 16 pops up, he has made a jumper solder'd into the box to uplink to the pc but he cant upload any driver correctly, i know he has downloaded the torrent for slayer to help fix it but it wont install to a cd. can anyone help with this please. ive tried searching the site and came up with where i first began, nothing . thanks for the help.

Doesn't that mean that a file is missing/corrupt? If so, I'd try using some sort of method to FTP and reinstall the dash.
